Welcome to Sounds in San Diego!
A ragtag team of music lovers that get the utmost joy out of supporting local bands and venues. We take the opportunity to see 3-4 shows a week, experience a variety of genres, see some of our faves and discover lovely local music makers. On this here page you’ll find a little bit of info about each of us and what we’re about. If we dig something we write about it, if we don’t we won’t. If you dig us fan us (with giant palm fronds or) on Facebook.

Senior Soundstress
There aren’t many things I love more than music. While life spins away at a rapid beat I’ve realized it’s important to spend it doing what I love – enjoying music in San Diego. I have a handful of favorite venues, a heart full of favorite bands, and decided to start writing about it. Show reviews, interviews, and getting to meet incredible people in my hometown that make and support local music- turning out to be one of the best things I’ve ever done and I welcome you along for the ride. Feel free to get tweety with me on Twitter. Also I have a Google+ page even though I have no clue what the hell it is.

Send any suggestions, questions, dirty limericks, hate mail, chain letters, instructions for the zombie apocalypse, top ramen recipes etc to: Jen@SoundsInSanDiego.com.

  2. Hi Jen,
Rob Williams here– your former instructor.
Thanks for the kind words on my blog– I definitely remember you and I’m glad to see you’re still writing (and what a cool website this is).
I’m starting a new blog this summer with more writing and etc, on it so keep a look out.
    All the best,

    • Hi Rob!
Thanks for checking out the site. I started it a few months ago and I love doing it SO much. I’ll definitely look out for your new blog and writing endeavors! Are you still teaching at Grossmont? I’m always tempted to go take more writing classes but I need more hours in the day. 🙂
      Take care,
