Friday Find – “(Prelude) Black Roses” by Black Market III – 5/30/14

Black Market III is a familiar favorite in the San Diego music scene. Frontman, Scottie Blinn is an old pro who knows his way around a guitar. And whether he’s singing his original tunes or or covering a range from Tom Waits to Social Distortion, his soul will make you wanna move your feet.

Backed by Roxy Coverdale’s sweet vocals and smooth bass and Gavin Glenn’s raw rhythm on drums, this blues-rooted crew is always rockin’ and always recording, and offers a show to dance to. So If you wanna see some chandeliers swing, stop by the Riviera Supper Club on Saturday May 31 at 9p. Sam Uosikkinen, another local talent, will also play an opening set. This is a great opportunity to catch BMIII in town before they take off again on their next European tour.

Here’s their “(Prelude) Black Roses,” for a Friday treat.
