WINNER: Marissa Mortati of Of Shows and Burritos. Congrats lovely lady!
Last minute giveaway! Sorry for the late notice but if you don’t have plans tomorrow, Thursday 3/14 and are in need of something rocktastic and free… here’s your chance. Leave a comment below this post and you’ll be entered to win two tickets to this show happening at one of my favorite venues in town. Deadline to enter is today, 3/13 at noon. Winner will be announced in this post and on Facebook… Note: if you win and I don’t have your email you’ll need to shoot me one here by 3pm with your full name (whatever’s on your ID) in order to get in with your guest. Mini-preview below and btw it’s $8 for us non-winners to see three rockin’ bands… still not bad.
Here’s a quick rundown of the show you’re in for.
Neighbors To The North: Debuting and headlining- not a bad way to start out. These locals are beyond excited to show off the material they’ve been working on. The tunes I’ve heard offer traditional rock ‘n’ roll with ripping guitar solos. Looking forward to finally seeing what the live show brings. Take these tunes with a shot of something straight up.
Falling Still: Also bringing some newness, this indie-rock band out of LA is promoting a new EP. Similar to NTTN as a rock trio they seem a good fit for this one. In-your-face vocals are balanced by some surprising harmonies. Think head-bang worthy songs with sexy lyrics best served with an energy drink and vodka.
The Roman Watchdogs: With aptly-named songs like “Saturday Night” this drum-heavy local band is gonna set the tone with grungy rock. Are we sensing a theme? Like any good party-starter take this one with your favorite thing on tap to ease into the night.
And there we go. Let me know what you’re looking forward to from this one, what you love about The Griffin or just say hi in the comments below and you’ll be entered for two tickets. Easy as pie 😉
